Our Crowd funder was a huge success!
Our crowd funder was a huge success! With your help we passed our target by almost £1500.
We can’t believe the support we’ve had. It has been incredible and it all ended with an amazing murder mystery night hosted by Anne Cleeves. The event raised £3200 towards our campaign.
Now a brief moment to catch our breath and onto the next steps… meetings with funders, architects, construction firms…. we will keep you posted on developments. You are all superstars. To have so many people backing us shows how important this venture is to so many people. We feel excited, blessed and thoroughly grateful.
Thank you to all our volunteers. All these people provided their time, skills and services freely:
Thank you to Kay and Mike Tilley, Alice Fuller and staff at The Black Swan and Newcastle Arts Centre for hosting the event.
Thank you to Ann Cleeves, Paula Penman, Karen Traynor, Steve Byron and David Raynor for Bannocks and Blood, to the Suggestibles Carl Kennedy, Tom Walton, Jenni Winter and Rachel Glover (thanks for the tech help too and to Peter Johnson) and to Caroline Ryan who BSL’d all night!
Thank you to our super event team of volunteers Jacqueline Wood, Helen Doyle, Allison Birt, Hendrika Seguro-Bigg, Jacob Easton, and Dami Fawehnmi led by the supa-supa Lewis Jobson.
Thank you to the audience, all 105 of you. Thank you to our bakers - Louise Taylor, Helen Doyle and Verity Smith, to our or raffle prize donors - Kielder Observatory, Jam Jar Cinema, The Block and Bottle, The Suggestibles, Northern Alchemy, Alnwick Castle, Ian Mayor, Louise Taylor, Golf Fang, Michelle Bayly, Live Theatre, Verity Smith and Details Art Shop, and to Studio Social North for the photo booth.
Thank you to our incredible campaign and PR teams over all these months - Hazel Burton, Jenni Winter, Helen Doyle, Allison Birt, John Scott, Adrian Hanlon, and especially to Micala Samsom of Scarlet Digital Marketing and Joe Haydon Photography for our press shots.
Thanks to Shauna Conker, who helped so much right at the start, and to Bev and Ian for leading the campaign from start to finish.
