Our free taster sessions are a chance to try improvisation in a friendly, supportive environment — with no pressure to perform and no expectation to be funny.
Improv can sound a bit scary if you’re worried about “making things up”, and meeting new people can feel daunting too. That’s exactly why tasters exist. We’ll guide you through simple, playful games designed to help you stop overthinking, trust your instincts, and feel comfortable in the moment.
Tasters are relaxed, sociable sessions focused on having fun, laughing together, and getting a feel for how improv works at Boho.
What happens in a session?
Each session lasts two and a quarter hours (with a short break in the middle) and follows a structured flow.
You’ll take part in:
• playful group games
• paired and small–group exercises
Common worries
It’s normal to have a few worries before trying something new. Here are some we hear a lot:
“I’m not confident / I get anxious”
Most people say this. The classes are designed with that in mind.
“I don’t want to be put on the spot”
You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. Everything is gradual and optional.
“I’m not funny”
That’s fine. Improv isn’t about telling jokes – it’s about connection.
“I’ll be the worst one there”
There is no ‘best’ or ‘worst’. Improv isn’t competitive – it’s collaborative, and everyone is in this together.
“It was as if all my anxieties had melted away.”

Classes are held in the first-floor meeting rooms, accessible by stairs or lift. Arrive early and wait in the first floor reception room.
